The following Club Sport teams will be joining National Associations for competing in club sports during the 2017-2018 academic year:

Club Softball - National Club Softball Association
Ultimate Frisbee Club - USA Ultimate College Division
Women's Club Basketball - East Coast Women's Basketball League (NIRSA)
Women's Club Lacrosse - Women's Collegiate Lacrosse Association
Women's Club Soccer - Southeast Collegiate Soccer Alliance (NIRSA)
Women's Club Volleyball - National Collegiate Volleyball Federation
Wrestling Club - National Collegiate Wrestling Association

The Men's Club Basketball team will be competing in tournaments sponsored by NIRSA while the Rock Climbing Club will look to work with Rise Up Climbing to potentially join USA Climbing competitions.

"Getting Lynchburg Club Sport teams registered with National Associations provides more stability to each club as they will be playing in leagues and tournaments with guaranteed games.  Many of the teams will even be playing against club teams from Division I schools such as Longwood, Virginia, Virginia Tech, James Madison, and Radford.  It also provides our clubs an opportunity to compete for National Championships, similar to the Men's Club Lacrosse team who has an excellent history with 2 National Championships, 3 National Runner-ups, and 4 other appearances in the Final Four of the NCLL National Tournament," states Ben Smith, Director of Club Sports.

Previously, Men's Club Soccer (SCSA), Rugby Club (CCRC), Club Field Hockey (NFHL) and Club Baseball (NCBA) were associated with national associations in addition to Men's Club Lacrosse.
